ADVERTISING YOUR BUSINESS TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

Following a very successful 1^st broadcast for the Venetian Fete in 2001, Hythe FM, “The Voice of the 2002 Hythe Festival” with the support of the Festival Committee will be returning for a 2^nd time to broadcast to the people of Hythe and the Romney Marsh during the week of the 2002 Hythe Festival 28^thJune – 4^th July on 95.1 FM.

The broadcast will run 24 hours a day with genuine local news and coverage of the event along with popular music from the 60s though the 90s and today. It will be aimed directly at local residents and visiting tourists both in Hythe and across the Romney Marsh as far afield as Lydd, New Romney and Dungeness.

In order to raise funds to support the broadcast, we intend to carry a wide range of advertising in support of businesses like you.

Radio Advertising Works! Being the official Radio Station for Festival Week, Hythe FM is in an ideal position to promote your business to many thousands of potential customers in the local community for a very competitive rate.

Two set-price packages are available over the 7-day period. There has been no increase in price from last year and an extra day of advertising is now included free!

OPTION 1

A pre-recorded advertisement with backing audio produced to your requirements and played 5 times a day for each of the 7 days we are on air will cost £40 in total.

Additional website advertising is available at a cost of £10 extra (if logo provided) or £20 if logo to be generated by us. Where only website advertising is required this is available at a cost of £20.

Advertisements will be scheduled for peak times (7am to 6pm). Plays outside these times will be at our discretion.

OPTION 2

Programme Sponsorship – For this we can provide a scripted advertisement to be read out at least twice an hour during any one of the following programmes for the entire 7-day period:

- The Breakfast Show 07:00 to 10:00

- The Mid Morning Show 10:00 to 14:00

- The Afternoon Show 14:00 to 18:00

- The Early Evening Show 18:00 to 22:00

- Selected Late Night Shows 22:00 onwards

The final script is yours but could be of the format:

“The Breakfast Show with Poppies Patisserie of Hythe, Quality Cakes at affordable prices!”

The cost of Programme Sponsorship is £80 in total. Website publicity is available as discussed in Option 1.

Where a programme is sponsored it will be promoted during other shows as being in association with ‘your company’.

1. All audio productions and Web advertisements remain the sole property of Hythe FM.

2. Where the advertiser specifically requests the use of significant portions of copyrighted music in their advertisements they are responsible for paying the current PRS music royalties.

South East Radio Services broadcasting under the name “Hythe FM” agree to broadcast your advertisement as under:

OPTION 1 - Five plays a day for 7 days commencing at 0900 on 28^th June. The charge for this is £40.

OPTION 2 - Sponsorship of a daily show for each of the 7 days with at least 2 reads per hour commencing at 0900 on 28^th June. The charge for this is £80.

Payment may be made in Cash or by Cheque. Please make cheques payable to “Hythe FM”
